NOTICE OF INTENT
TO USE SPECIAL PROCUREMENT

In accordance with Sec. 21-54 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, Sole Source Verification, an official notice is hereby given as follows

Vendor Name(s): Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC)

Estimated Amount of Procurement: The value of this contract for $72,223.

General Description of Goods or Services to be acquired: Over the 12-month term of the contract, WRWC will work collaboratively with the City of Providence, the Resilience Hub Manager, and other backbone organizations to:
 

1. Dedicate staff time to raising awareness about the hub and supporting hub activities including,  but not limited to, identifying and coordinating relevant programming and participating in strategic planning.
2. Identify and apply for funding opportunities to support the hub, including, but not limited to, funding for backbone organization services, funding for hub staff, and facility improvement and supplies that support the hub’s objectives.
3. Manage and distribute community stipends for the Community Resilience Committee (CRC) members and other community-driven efforts.
4. Manage small purchases under $5,000 for the resilience hub.

• Executive Director, provide administrative oversight and attend monthly administrative meetings.
• Communications Manager, create accessible and multilingual communications and media for the resilience hub.

• Community Programs Director, attend in-person and virtual administrative meetings and coordinate in-person and virtual community meetings and community programming at the Hub, identifying partnership opportunities.
• Co-facilitator of Nuevas Voces, attend in-person and virtual administrative meetings and coordinate in-person and virtual community meetings and programming, identify partnership opportunities.
• Director of Community Grants, identify and apply for funding sources to support resilience hub operations and programming and attend occasional administrative meetings.
• Community Resilience Liaison, increase community awareness of the Hub, its functions and the resources it offers/will offer to the community.
