Description

to provide temporary
accommodations for relocated occupants of housing units receiving Lead Safe Providence Program or
Community Development Block Grant funding for the remediation of lead and/or healthy homes hazards at the
tenant’s place of residence. The Division of Housing and Community Development provides funds to property
owners to make their properties lead-safe. While remediation work is underway, the units must be temporarily
vacated by the occupants to ensure occupant safety. Program funding allows for temporary accommodations for
these occupants, and staff will coordinate with the selected vendor or vendor(s) to arrange the accommodations,
which typically range from three days to seven days depending on the complexity of the project.
The City of Providence Division of Housing and Community Development shall pay directly for all preauthorized
stays.
