Description

The Smithfield Public Schools intends to submit plans and specifications for the described projects in accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Education’s (RIDE) Necessity of Construction Guidelines. A Stage II application has been submitted to RIDE and has been approved to proceed to Stage III. The Town of Smithfield is securing funding for this work which is to be substantially completed by October 31, 2023.
The intended overall project is made up of three sub-projects: (1) Energy Upgrades to the High School and Middle School, (2) Rooftop Unit Upgrades/Replacements at the High Schools, and (3) New sports fields and Concession Stand at the High School. The project will by design and constructed during the same construction season. Refer to Stage II application and Addendum for additional project information.
