Description

The Tiverton Town Council is seeking proposals for special operational/forensic audit services for FY2022 and FY2023 for the Tiverton School System

The Tiverton Town Council has recently been designated as the legal authority to provide financial recommendations for the annual operation budget for the Tiverton School District by the Local Home Rule Charter instead of having a recommendation by the locally elected Budget Commission and the use of an all-day voter referendum to adopt the annual education budget. As such, the Town Council is in need of understanding fully, in detail, the operations of the school system in order to provide a valid knowledge basis for the ultimate financial appropriations recommendations they will provide in the future.

Proposal Preparation & Submission
                All firms responding to the RFP are expected to comply with the preparation instructions and submission requirements presented in this section for content and format. Failure to comply with these instructions and requirements may result in the disqualification of the offeror(s) proposal from further consideration.

                It is the offeror(s) responsibility to ensure that they have a complete and thorough understanding of all the requirements, expressed or implied, regarding the specifications of the RFP prior to submission of the proposal.

                Two (2) proposals shall be enclosed in a single sealed package plainly marked with the words “PROPOSAL FOR SPECIAL FORENSIC OPERATIONAL AUDIT SERVICES”. All proposals will be firm offers an may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days following the last day for acceptance of the best and final offer. Proposals must be signed by an officer of the Firm who is authorized to bind the Firm. Proposals shall be mailed or hand delivered to:
