The work of this contract consists of the demolition of the Charles G. Hammann Memorial Water Treatment Plant located at 1500 Manville Road, Woonsocket, RI including, but not limited to, demolition, removal and disposal of the former control building, six aboveground steel tanks (three sediment filter units, two clear wells, and a wash water tank); cutting, capping and abandoning existing utilities; removal, transportation and disposal of asbestos-containing material (ACM), lead based paint (LBP), and miscellaneous hazardous materials; grading, loaming and seeding the site; and miscellaneous work and cleanup as required.
