The City of Balch Springs (“the City”) is soliciting proposals from experienced, qualified entities for an integrated, turn-key, cloud-based Fixed Network Advanced Metering Infrastructure (“AMI”) and Customer Information System with Utility Billing (“CIS”) that works with all major water meters and has an expected reading accuracy of 98% or greater for all meters in the system.
The new AMI system, which should include fixed radio meter reading technology and installation, must be geospatially focused, provide extensive analytics to enhance customer service and financial performance while improving efficiency and accuracy in our utility operations. The CIS system must include billing and collection, online bill presentment, enhanced payment options, mobile customer payment applications, field work order management, long-term operation and other support related work.
