Summary of Specifications:
April 25, 2016 The City of Balch Springs is seeking qualified firms to submit proposals for the demolition of substandard structures in the City of Balch Springs. PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK • The demolition contractor will be responsible for any required testing, abatement, permits, and associated fees. • The proposal shall include all equipment mobilization costs. • The proposal shall include all engineering fees if applicable. • The proposal shall include all site protection devices if applicable. • The proposal shall include all demolition labor and equipment costs. • The proposal shall include all disposal fees. • The contractor shall be responsible for all temporary services such as water and electrical power if applicable. • The contractor shall be responsible for dust, vibration and noise control if applicable. • The contractor shall be responsible for all traffic control devices if applicable. • The contractor shall demolish all condemned structures on the site(s). • The contractor shall remove all debris created by the destruction of the structure(s). • In the event the contractor uses a third party debris hauler, Community Waste Disposal is the City’s franchise waste hauler. • The contractor shall remove all undesirable vegetation on the site(s). • The contractor shall haul all debris created from the demolition activities to a State licensed disposal facility. • The contractor shall restore the site(s) to a “blade clean” condition upon completion of the demolition work. • The contractor shall submit a “not to exceed” price for City approval. • The contractor shall provide to the City a 1295 disclosure form. • Contractor shall comply with all applicable OSHA safety requirements in performing the work. • Contractor must be able to commence work by May 24th, 2016 and complete the work within 60 days.
