The Work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment and services for construction of the following Base Bid items: replacement of four marine 16-inch raw water discharge hoses; modification of marine electrical conductors for three existing raw water pumps; rehabilitation of the existing clarifier in one Treatment Unit, TU-3; replacement of three vertical turbine transfer pumps; rehabilitation of existing sludge collectors in two Backwash Holding Tanks, BWT-1 and BWT-2; replacement of one Sludge Pump, SP-5; replacement of clarifier media in one Treatment Unit, TU-7; installation of approximately 125 linear feet of 8-inch Backwash Return (BWR) yard piping; installation of a 4-inch bypass on an existing 30-inch gate valve; installation of a Trihalomethane (THM) Removal System into one existing Ground Storage Tank, GST-3, at the off-site Dies Booster Pump Station; and other miscellaneous items as described in the Contract Documents.
The Work may also include the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment and services for construction of the following Additive Alternate Bid items: replacement of one 5,800 gallon Fluoride bulk tank, one 100 gallon Fluoride day tank, one 7,000 gallon Alum bulk tank and one 7,000 gallon Liquid Ammonium Sulfate (LAS) bulk tank; replacement of FRP grating on access bridges and stairs at BWT-1, BWT-2 and the Gravity Thickener; installation of two precast meter calibration vaults; and related work.
