The Anderson Mill Road (Phase 1) reconstruction project consists of the reconstruction of Anderson Mill Road from RM 1431 south to approximately Gaspar Bend (7,300 LF). Anderson Mill Road will be reconstructed as 2 lanes of a future four-lane divided roadway with turn lanes at various intersections. The northern most portion of the roadway near RM 1431 will be constructed as the full four lane cross section. These improvements generally include excavation, embankment, concrete curb and gutter, HMACP, sidewalks, 12” wastewater line, storm sewer and culvert installation, and a final asphalt overlay.
Specific Construction Phase Services for which we are requesting proposals for are daily inspection / observation, review of pay applications, scheduling and review of quality assurance testing, attendance at project meetings, daily reporting, identification of deficiencies and design conflicts, and coordination with design engineers, contractor’s representatives and project managers. The inspector / observer will assist with submittals, RFI’s, and change order logs. Project safety is not included in the scope of work but any situations in which the construction inspector / observer feels are unsafe should be reported to the City’s project manager. Services will also include the observation of franchise utility installation to determine that no future conflicts between the franchise utilities and roadway items will occur.
