The Bell Boulevard Realignment Utility Relocation Project consists of the installation of dry utility conduit ducts for the purposes of undergrounding franchise utility lines that are currently overhead. Conduit duct installation will range from one conduit up to 22 conduits consistent with a large duct bank structure. The main duct bank structure is approximately 3,600 feet long and will include several bores and the installation of vault structures and other associated manholes. This project will also include the construction of approximately 1,200 feet of 8” wastewater line and approximately 1,450 feet of 12” waterline.
Specific Construction Phase Services for which we are requesting proposals for are daily inspection / observation, review of pay applications, scheduling and review of quality assurance testing, attendance at project meetings, daily reporting, identification of deficiencies and design conflicts, and coordination with design engineers, contractor’s representatives and project managers. The inspector / observer will assist with submittals, RFI’s, and change order logs. Project safety is not included in the scope of work but any situations in which the construction inspector / observer feels are unsafe should be reported to the City’s project manager.
