The New Hope Drive (Cottonwood Creek Trail to Ronald Reagan Blvd.) extension project consists of the extension of New Hope Drive from Cottonwood Creek Trail to approximately 200 feet east of Ronald Reagan Blvd, totaling approximately 9,200 LF of arterial roadway. New Hope Drive will be constructed as four-lane divided roadway with a raised median. These improvements generally include excavation, embankment, concrete curb and gutter, HMACP, sidewalk, 12” wastewater line, 16” waterline, storm sewer and culvert installation, illumination, a traffic signal, and a final asphalt overlay.
Specific Construction Phase Services for which we are requesting proposals for are daily inspection / observation, review of pay applications, scheduling and review of quality assurance testing, attendance at project meetings, daily reporting, identification of deficiencies and design conflicts, and coordination with design engineers, contractor’s representatives and project managers. The inspector / observer will assist with submittals, RFI’s, and change order logs. Project safety is not included in the scope of work but any situations in which the construction inspector / observer feels are unsafe should be reported to the City’s project manager. Services will also include the observation of franchise utility installation to determine that no future conflicts between the franchise utilities and roadway items will occur. The proposed roadway is within the alignment of an existing large diameter waterline and inspection of adjustments to the waterline appurtenances is required.
