These specifications cover a hydraulic system which employs enclosed fluid to transfer energy
from one source to another, and subsequently create rotary motion, linear motion, or force.
Hydraulic power units are self-contained systems that are generally built for the simple task of
converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. The gasoline powered hydraulic power
units covered by this specification shall consist of a high-performance hydraulic pump,
reservoir, Honda gasoline engine, manifold block, relief valve, needle valve, return filter,
pressure gauge and oil level dip stick. The power unit can be coupled via suitable hydraulic
lines to a wide range of operating mechanisms.
