ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids addressed to the City Secretary of the City of Seguin, Texas will be received at the Seguin City Hall, 205 North River, Seguin, Texas 78155, until 3:00 P.M., April 2, 2024 (CDST) for the West Booster Station and Miscellaneous Projects. Any bid received after closing time will not be considered. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Seguin City Hall at 3:00 p.m. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope (8-1/2” x 11” minimum), clearly marked as follows:

Principal items of construction will include:
Construction of the West Booster Station consisting of two (2) welded steel ground storage tanks, three (3) vertical turbine booster pumps, piping, emergency electrical generator, and sitework; at the City’s water plant, replacement of two (2) split-case centrifugal high service pumps and replacement of variable frequency drives for three (3) existing surface water high service pumps; two (2) 24” pipe connections to the 123 Elevated Storage Tank; and all other appurtenances necessary for the complete Project
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or an approved bidders bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum total bid, payable to the City of Seguin, Texas without recourse, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds on the forms provided, within ten (10) days after the award of contract.
The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner.
Bid Documents and Construction Drawings for the project may be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with the option to purchase hard copies) at www.civcastusa.com. Bidders must register on this website in order to view and/or download specifications, plans and other related documents for this project.
Please submit questions for this project five (5) days prior to bid opening through www.civcastusa.com in the Q&A portal. All addenda issued for this project will be posted on www.civcastusa.com. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding to use proper scaling, paper size, etc., for bid quantities. Failure to do so may result in error in the Unit Bid Quantities and/or Bid Amounts.
A non-mandatory construction pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. (CDST) at the City’s Utilities Operation Center, 3027 N. Austin Street, Seguin, Texas 78155.
The City of Seguin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the date on which bids are received.
