Objective
The City of Fredericksburg, Texas intends to enter into on-call professional service agreements with individuals or firms that can provide professional building plan review services and inspection services for the City to help expedite plan review and permitting for residential and non-residential building construction projects including but not limited to new construction and tenant finishes. The City of Fredericksburg, Texas (City), invites statements of qualifications from interested and qualified persons and/or firms with experience and professional qualifications related to building construction, plan review, inspections, and other related professional and technical services to provide support services typically required by a municipal building inspection department. The ability to interpret and apply the City’s code and ordinances, as well as to be familiar with applicable state and federal regulations, is important to the provision of these services. Qualified applicants must possess all licenses, certifications, and permits necessary to provide the professional services described in this Request for Qualifications.
The building plan review functions are primarily within and coordinated by the Development Services Department. Individuals or firms selected by the City to provide plan review services and as needed building inspections will report to the Building Official and Development Services Director in addition to interacting with the public, design and construction professionals, and other City departments and staff.

Faxed, emailed, or electronic submittals will not be accepted. Please submit three (3) hard copies plus one (1) electronic PDF file version (flash drive) of your response shall be submitted in a sealed package clearly marked as provided below. Submittals shall be no more than twenty (20) pages – 8.5”x11”, double-sided, and numbered, excluding transmittal letter. The transmittal letter, if desired, should be no more than one (1) page in length and single sided. The transmittal letter and page tabs will not count against the page limit. Please submit the RFQ package by 4:30 PM CST, Wednesday January 31, 2024.

Any solicitation responses received after 4:30 PM CST on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, will be rejected and returned to the respondent. Solicitation responses may not be modified or withdrawn after the submittal deadline.
