RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the construction of 2025 Concrete Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer, at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until December 12th, 2024, at 2:00 pm and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/ (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).
BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bidnet Direct to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on December 3rd, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Orem City Center, development Services Main Conference Room, located at 56 North State Street, Orem UT, 84057.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained November 20th, 2024 on Bidnet Direct or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bidnet Direct. There will be a $20.00 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specification. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK includes the installation of 23 modified ADA ramps, 2-quarter round ADA ramps, 7-straight ADA ramps, 160- linear feet of 6’ monolithic sidewalk, 60 linear feet of 6’ monolithic concrete drive approach, 70 linear feet of 7”-9” concrete cross gutter, 75 linear feet of 2’ curb & gutter, and concrete flatwork. The engineer's estimate is for the work $500,000.
