The County of Dutchess (herein after “County”) is seeking the services of a Policy Consultant to
provide advisory and consulting services to the County relating to various public policy topics,
including but not limited to emergency management, public health, mental health, state and
federal advocacy for issues impacting County government, and associated policy, procedure, and
regulatory compliance, and other relevant areas. The consultant will support the County
Executive and County departments in researching best practices on relevant public policy issues
and work alongside County leadership in developing and implementing policy initiatives,
particularly those impacted by state and federal regulations.
The selected consultant will be retained by the County Executive’s Office for general policy
consulting services and support and may also be awarded project specific scopes of work by
County Departments based on need and level of relevant expertise.
