                                                      NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That sealed proposals for the construction of a 20" x 10"-diameter well (no. 6) approximately 380 feet deep, to be located at the Wheeler Road Well Field, Hauppauge, Town of Islip, NY, will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, New York 11769, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on August 23, 2017, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York  11739, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.  You may also register your company on our website at www.scwa.com and/or www.empirestatebidsystem.com and request "More Info" on Contract No. 7464.
An optional pre-bid meeting and walk through will take place at the site on August 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.  The site is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Wheeler Road and Veteran's Memorial Highway (825 Wheeler Road), Hauppauge, Town of Islip.  It is strongly recommended that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting.
