7801 - Installation of (AOP) Water Treatment Systems at McKay Road & Hollywood Place

                                                                                NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That sealed proposals for installation of Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) water treatment systems at the McKay Road & Hollywood Place Well Field & Pump Stations will be received by the Purchasing Director of the Suffolk County Water Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, NY  11739, not later than 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, on October 13, 2021, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.  In addition, Bids will be accepted electronically, prospective bidders have the opportunity to submit their bids via the following website: www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york.
Complete details and specifications relating to the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Purchasing Department of the Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York  11739, where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.  You may also register your company on our website at www.scwa.com and/or www.empirestatebidsystem.com and request "More Info" on Contract No. 7801.
Whereas the Suffolk County Water Authority (Authority) has submitted an application for Water Infrastructure Investment Act (WIIA) funding, the attached specifications pertaining to required Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE requirements are hereby made a part of this contract.  Bidders must comply with the terms as described in Contract 7801.  Bidders are required to submit the documentation required as per the Davis-Bacon Act and MBE/WBE; failure to submit the documentation will result in rejection of your bid.
The Engineer has scheduled a three-part pre-bid meeting on October 4, 2021.  None of the 3 pre-bid meetings are mandatory, but it is recommended that prospective bidders attend. 
The 1st part of the meeting will be virtual only at 11 AM and conducted by the SCWA Purchasing Department to discuss MWBE and other New York State requirements for this partially NYS grant-funded project.  Prospective bidders can confirm their intent to attend the virtual meeting by submitting an email to the Director of Purchasing: Marlon.Torres@scwa.com. 
The 2nd part of the pre-bid meeting will be held at the McKay Road well field location at 1:00 PM.  The McKay Road Well Field and Pump Station is located at 155 McKay Road Huntington New York, 11768.  The entrance to the site is approximately 550 feet North of North Street. 
The 3rd part of the pre-bid meeting will be held at the Hollywood Place well field location at 2:00 PM.  The Hollywood Place Well Field and Pump Station is located at 30 Hollywood Place Huntington New York, 11746.  The entrance to the site is approximately 350 feet South of High Street, via a driveway access between houses numbered 26 and 28. 
Prospective bidders are required to confirm their intent to attend by submitting an email to the Director of Purchasing: Marlon.Torres@scwa.com.  The Director will then send you an email with the information and link for you to join the meeting at the set time as noted above.
