NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for Replacement of Asphalt & Bituminous Shoulders, Composite Roadway, Concrete Sidewalks, Aprons, Curbs and Grass Replacement at various locations in Wainscott, will be received by the Purchasing Director of said Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739, not later than 11:00 a.m. on February 14, 2019, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by login in to the following websites www.scwa.com; www.nyscr.ny.gov; or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above.
Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.
A Mandatory Pre Bid Conference is scheduled and will be conducted at the following location and time: 10:00 a.m., February 7, 2019, at the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Great River, NY 11739. Prospective bidders are to call to confirm their attendance for the meeting @ 631-563-0334. Failure to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting constitutes grounds for rejection of your bid. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who attended the Pre-Bid Meeting.
Whereas it is anticipated this project or portions thereof will be funded through the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation, the attached specifications (Program Requirements and Bid Packet for Construction Contracts, Attachment D) are hereby made a part of this contract. Bidders must comply with all terms, conditions and reporting requirements as described in Contract 7592.
Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid.
