NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That sealed proposals for Project I- General Construction of Water Main and Appurtenance, Project II – Installation of New Water Main and Appurtenances by Directional Boring Technology and Project III-Roadway, Shoulder and Grass Restoration on Speonk-Riverhead Rd., will be received by the Purchasing Director of said Authority at 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739, not later than 11:00 a.m. on March 1, 2019, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents are available for you to download by login in to the following websites www.scwa.com; www.nyscr.ny.gov; or www.BidNetDirect.com/new-york. Questions and answers will also be posted on the public websites noted above.
Details relating to the proposed work are also on file and publicly exhibited at the Office of the Purchasing Department, of the Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, New York 11739 where copies of said documents may be obtained upon application.
A Mandatory Pre Bid Conference is scheduled for February 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., and will be conducted at the following location: Suffolk County Water Authority, 3525 Sunrise Highway, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Great River, NY 11739. Prospective bidders are to call to confirm their attendance for the meeting @ 631-563-0334. Failure to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting constitutes grounds for rejection of your bid. Bids will only be accepted from bidders who attended the Pre-Bid Meeting.
Apprenticeship Agreement: The Suffolk County Water Authority requires, pursuant to New York Labor Law Section 816-b, all Contractors and Subcontractors shall have, apprenticeship agreements appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under this Contract, that are registered with and approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor pursuant to the requirements of New York Labor Law Article 23. Evidence of such agreements for both contractors and subcontractors, if any, must be submitted with the bid.
